Mike Hayes is a Principal and Managing Director at Vault Consulting, LLC. He has 20 years of experience serving the nonprofit industry, providing survey research and highly complex data analysis. He works closely with Vault staff to produce effective, in-depth, value-added, and cost-effective reports for clients. He is responsible for assuring the timeliness and quality of each of these projects and coordinates closely with Vault’s Software Development Team to provide customized solutions for each client.

​Mike is well-versed in the best practices in running association-sponsored research programs that provide members with valuable market share and benchmarking information. He has a deep understanding of anti-trust rules to be mindful of and the best ways to collect and share results. He is very keen on identifying gaps in existing programs and consulting with clients about different solutions and ways to add value. However, Mike makes relationships between more than data points. He works hand-in-hand with clients to earn their respect as a trusted partner rather than a third-party provider.

​By collaborating with staff and demonstrating confidence in the punctuality and caliber of work the research team delivers to clients, he can take on more leadership responsibilities. In order to remain flexible and available to clients, Mike’s day-to-day may shuffle around from overseeing multiple research programs, including those providing vital information to fortune 500 companies, to focusing on business development and staffing needs.
